Salary: $48,000 – $78,000

Our backends carry realtime dispatch for 2,400 vehicles, 1.2M sensor readings a minute, and commerce for 340 storefronts. You will design those systems, not just implement tickets against someone else's design.

What you'll do

Design and build Django REST services for two concurrent client platforms
Own the data model, query performance and caching strategy on your projects
Build realtime features on Django Channels and background pipelines on Celery
Set up observability so problems are found by graphs rather than by clients
Write the runbook and hand it over properly at the end of an engagement

What we're looking for

5+ years with Django and Django REST Framework in production
Strong PostgreSQL — you can read a query plan and act on it
Redis for caching, and an opinion about invalidation you can defend
Celery or an equivalent, including the failure modes
Comfortable owning production: on-call, incidents, postmortems

Nice to have

Django Channels or other WebSocket work at scale
Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
Experience with PgBouncer or connection pooling under load
